Kindergarteners accessing literacy with explicit instruction!
Our kindergarten students are becoming fluent readers and writers thanks to our committed and passionate teachers!
Schumacher CLC's Family Literacy Night "Write Now" was a huge success! Thank you to all the families that participated and learned beside us. A special thank you to Mrs. Keren and Mrs. Lipiatt for the interactive writing stations!
Mrs. LaMarca’s and Ms. Riggins students completed the Mayflower challenge, where they had to create a tin foil boat, with a sail, that would not only float in water, but hold washers (pilgrims). The sturdiest boat was able to hold 170 washers!

Schumacher CLC 3rd graders presented their African American reports! Fantastic job!
Schumacher CLC hosts Chuck E. Cheese Fundraiser on March 21, 2025 from 4:00-9:00 pm. It will be held at 2779 West Market Street in Fairlawn, Ohio! Please plan to come to have fun and support our school! There are specials for the family! Please see the flier!
Governor Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Education and Workforce Director Stephen D. Dackin announced the inaugural group of Ohio schools to be recognized through the Governor’s Science of Reading Recognition Program. This program highlights schools leading the way in adopting effective, evidence-based literacy practices.
