Writing Matters
Ms. Schwind, Mrs. Hyke, and Ms. Robinson’s students made homemade butter. They were able to really shake up things, as it is hard work to turn a liquid, (heavy whipping cream), into a solid (butter)! Students were able to have discussion of the differences throughout the process, and of course were able to eat their butter after!
Mrs. LaMarca’s and Ms. Riggins students completed the Mayflower challenge, where they had to create a tin foil boat, with a sail, that would not only float in water, but hold washers (pilgrims). The sturdiest boat was able to hold 170 washers!
Our 1st grade students are making huge gains on their literacy journey! We are proud of their hard work and thankful to our hard working teachers!
Proud of our kindergarteners at Schumacher CLC!
Our wonderful 5th grade students are learning and exploring in science through writing!
Mrs. LaMarca's 4th grade class have adopted a cow and are learning about life in a rural setting!
